Welcome to our class website.  I'm excited to be teaching fourth grade this year!

All about me...  I have been teaching 4th and 5th grade at Horizon since the school opened. I am married and we have a son attending Central Washington University. Our daughter has graduated from CWU and now teaches high school ASL (American Sign Language).  Sports and family rule our lives.  We are either at baseball, volleyball, soccer, boating, or on the golf course.  I love to read and scrapbook.

Homework

Your child is expected to read at least 30 minutes 4 or more times per week and practice multiplication facts for at least 15 minutes 4 times per week. It is very important that your child knows and can quickly recall multiplication facts as we apply them to figure out so many things in math.  Your child will usually have two pages of math homework per night. If there is some kind of conflict or the work is too challenging I will understand if a child's homework is incomplete I will be understanding. If your child does not seem to be making the effort to complete homework I will contact home.
