Hello Kentlake Students and Parents!  My name is Tim Van Schenck and I am very excited
and happy to be teaching at Kentlake!
You can send me an email using the Contact Me page.
Information on my courses can be found on Canvas at kentk12.instructure.com.

Let me introduce myself and my family.   I have been married to Katie for 30 years, and I
have two great boys and two daughters!  Jacob and Lindy work with Youth With A Mission
in Salem, Oregon.  My granddaughter Amelia is an absolute joy!  Jonathan and Caylee live
in Corvallis, Oregon where Jon is completing his Ph.D. in Physics at Oregon State University.
Before becoming a teacher I worked at Boeing in Kent, Washington, where I enjoyed a
24-1/2 year career as a software engineer.  I decided to change careers to become a mathematics
teacher, and attended Seattle Pacific University to obtain my teaching credential and my
Masters in Teaching Math and Science.  This is my sixth year at Kentlake High School teaching
mathematics.  I also advise the Kentlake Interact Club, which partners with the Covington
Rotary Club to plan and conduct a variety of local and international service projects.
