Reading Homework
Some of you have asked which books are a "White", or third grade, level. Below I have listed some books and series that are a white reading level and black reading level. Keep in mind that not all of the books in each series will be at that particular level, but most of them will be. Some may be a level above or below. If you have any questions please let me know. Thanks so much!

Reading logs are assigned each Monday and due the following Monday. Of course if we don't have school on Monday reading logs would be due the next school day. I have asked the kids to write down the title of the "just right" book they are reading at home and the genre it is part of. I have also asked the kids to write five sentences to create a summary of what they have read. Ideally I would like the kids to read 20 minutes per day, but understand that is not realistic for every kiddo. If your child could read 20 minutes at least four times per week that would be great! If you child loses their reading log they can write their reading and summary on a piece of paper, or you can download of copy of the reading log from the "Documents" tab. Thank you for supporting your child with the reading and writing connection!
